About Course

India has the largest youth population globally, with nearly half under 25 years old and two-thirds under 35. By 2027, India is expected to have the world’s largest workforce, with over a billion people in the 15-64 age group. However, despite this demographic advantage, employability has stagnated at 46% over the past three years. A major issue is the lack of awareness and exposure to job market opportunities among the youth, with 65% seeking better skills and internship opportunities. Additionally, about 15 crore individuals, mainly secondary school dropouts, never reach higher education, limiting their entry into the formal workforce. To realize the vision of a $5 trillion economy, it is essential to harness India’s demographic dividend by reskilling the upcoming workforce to meet Industry 4.0 demands.

"Academy for Careers in Technology" (ACT), a comprehensive skilling a joint initiative of Freshworks and Edunet Foundation aims at equipping youth academic dropouts from marginalized communities with the skills and confidence needed for entry-level technology careers. ACT is designed to empower participants through a structured, multi-faceted learning journey that combines hands-on instructor-led workshops, online courses and project-based learning to ensure both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
